The Rosa music room is equiped with 40 Casio CTK-431 keyboards.
All 6th grade studetns use these keyboards to explore the treble and bass clefs, simple melodies, major scales, note values, time signatures, performance and computer-assisted instruction.
Instruction also includes listening to selected music of various cultures and time periods.
Advanced piano students are given opportunities to perform advanced selection, as well as work on computer programs that teach music theory.
Beyond the classroom, pianists are given the opportunity to participate in the Rosa Piano Recital held each year in June. And other performance opportunities include the jazz band, school bands, orchestra and possible choral accompaniment.
