IMPORTANT CHAPERONE INFORMATION!
We appreciate all of the parents who volunteered to chaperone for this festival. As a matter of fact, over 40 of you so generously offered to spend the day helping us. Unfortunately, we can only take 20 chaperones. Therefore, the directors chose to accept volunteers on a first-come, first-served basis. If a parent is not sure they were chosen, please contact the director. Notification was sent home through your child.
Those who were chosen need to be aware of the following:
1. You must ride the bus to and from the festival.
2. You will be responsible for 10 - 14 students. Get to know their names and faces.
3. You MUST remain in a central location to the students at ALL TIMES.
4. No one can go to the bathroom or ride a ride ALONE.
5. If you or a student do not want to ride a ride that the rest of the group wishes to ride, you must wait at the end of that ride with that student until the others are finished.
6. You need to be aware of all time lines and report as needed.
7. The group can split up and go to different places but must stay in the same general vicinity and MUST be with the smaller assigned groups. Be sure they all know where they can find you.
8. Non-chaperoning parents can hang with the group but they can NOT take their child or any other students somewhere else.
9. Students may not switch chaperone groups at any time. This will cause
too much confusion. It is the only way to assure everyone is accounted for at all times. However, multiple groups can hang together.
10. All groups must report to the awards ceremony by 6:20 p.m. Do not get on a ride that will require a wait that would cause the group to miss the deadline.
11. Students must wear their Rosa T-SHIRTS shirts at all time, except when on the water rides. This is the best way to identify them.
12. If a student in your group needs to take medication from the nurse, the entire group must go with him/her.
13. Have a great time!
